David Liford is a self-taught artist.  Born in 1951 in Akron, Ohio, David became interested in art at a very early age.  Throughout his childhood he enjoyed drawing.  He attended Northern Virginia Community College where he studied drawing, water color, print making and oil painting.  David is inspired by the impressionist painters, particularly Vincent van Gogh, Paul Cezanne, and Paul Gauguin.  His medium of choice is oil on canvas.  David is now retired and has plenty of time to dedicate to his art work and his grand children.
